With the new era of Atlantis under King Kastor, the Atlanteans had colonies such as those in Tyrrhenia, and Sicyon (formerly Sikyos) which gave them ample access to Horses once again. A desire to extend the Atlantean Army to return to the use of cavalry in Atlantean tactical procedure resulted in formation of Cuirassier, named for their body armor, and made up of lesser noble families whom served their kings and houses. The Curiassier were typically used to flank and route enemy infantry. Cuirassiers legacy would inspire the Greek Hippeis and by extension the Medieval Knights.
